What the table under-sells

The 6 tops up over 27W USB-C Power Delivery; the 5 has no fast-charge headline to speak of and refills at a more leisurely pace. Pair the 6's quicker charging with its longer runtime and the practical gap widens beyond what the raw milliamp-hours suggest: it plays longer and refills faster. Where the Pocket 6 taps out

Why the 6 crept from $229 to $244
The Gadgeteer reported on June 12, 2026 that the Pocket 6 launched in October 2025 at $229 for the 8GB tier and $279 for the 12GB tier, then had its base price nudged up $15 to $244 for the 8GB/128GB variant. So: is a ~69%-faster chip, a 120Hz panel, a 20%-bigger battery, faster charging, newer radios and active cooling worth roughly $45? Framed that way it is not a question, it is a rounding error — Retro Game Corps' verdict that "even at $245 it's the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 handheld on the market" is the entire value case in one line. The only thing that complicates it is the 5's sale pricing. At $199-versus-$244 the 6 wins on value.
