Does 120Hz matter for retro emulation?
Mostly no for the classic library, since most of those games render at 60fps or below and no panel adds frames the ROM does not contain. Where 120Hz genuinely helps is the Android interface, native Android games, and high-refresh game streaming.
Which handles Switch, PS2, and GameCube better?
The Pocket 6. Its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4nm, Adreno 740) has more headroom and better frame consistency in demanding scenes than the Pocket 5's Snapdragon 865 (7nm, Adreno 650), though both clear everything up through the sixth console generation with ease.
