Godhood, the game cheerfully admits, is just new ways to get hurt — a sharp little hover-platformer that knows exactly what it is.
Cheril the Goddess is a 2018 Mojon Twins entry in their long-running Cheril / Sir Ababol universe, trading standard running for flight: the freshly-deified heroine hovers and dives through hazard-lined caverns of spikes. The flying twist gives it more identity than most of the studio's catalogue — momentum-based hovering is a genuinely different challenge from grounded platforming, and the cavern layouts are built around it.
It remains, however, a Mojon Twins production through and through, with the same engine feel and the same brisk, disposable structure. The self-aware framing — promotion to deity changes nothing, the spikes remain — is funnier than the game is deep. Difficulty leans punishing in the way these carts often do, which save states will quietly defang. A likeable, well-made hover-platformer that rewards precision and a tolerance for repetition. Recommended for fans of the series and twitch-platforming devotees.

Cheril the Goddess is a platformer game built by The Mojon Twins and released in 2018 under CC BY-NC-SA — meaning the developer chose to make it free and redistributable, which is the only reason it can live on this shelf. A flying action-platformer in which a freshly deified Cheril hovers and dives through hazard-lined caverns. Sir Ababol's universe promotes its heroine to deity and nothing improves: still caves, still spikes. Godhood, like admin rights, is mostly new ways to get hurt. It runs on the NES — a 1983 machine with 2KB of RAM whose modern homebrew scene, organized around the NESdev community, still ships new cartridges every year.
