Espitene (2018) is one of dozens of bite-sized NES games the Spanish collective The Mojon Twins have given away over the years, built on their own MK1_NES engine and released with full source under LGPL / CC BY-NC-SA. It's a flip-screen action-platformer: tight single-screen rooms, run, jump, dodge, grab what you need, reach the exit. The Twins treat the NES like a sketchbook, and that's exactly what this is — a clean, complete little doodle.
The strength is its honesty about scale. There's no padding, the rules are legible in seconds, and it never overstays. The flip side is that the MK1_NES house style means it plays much like the collective's other output — competent and familiar rather than surprising. It's a snack, not a meal. Worth twenty minutes if you enjoy crunchy single-screen platforming; don't expect it to reinvent the wheel.

HOW TO PLAY — CONTROLS
