Russian Roulette (Yerrick, 2014, GPL) is best understood as a technical flex wearing a party-game costume. Its one real trick is sampled speech: getting a voice out of the NES's audio hardware is a non-trivial feat, and on that narrow front the cartridge delivers a small thrill. As a game, though, there is almost nothing to engage with — you load a chamber, pull the trigger, and a uniform random variable decides your fate. The page's own note admits as much, calling it a coin flip wearing a hat.
There's no skill, no progression, no reason to return once the novelty of hearing the cart talk wears off in about ninety seconds. Worth one curious look as an audio demo. Not worth a second. Strictly for homebrew completists and hardware tinkerers.

Russian Roulette is a party game built by Damian Yerrick (tepples) and released in 2014 under GPL — meaning the developer chose to make it free and redistributable, which is the only reason it can live on this shelf. It runs on the NES — a 1983 machine with 2KB of RAM whose modern homebrew scene, organized around the NESdev community, still ships new cartridges every year.
