MACHINE NOTE — You do not drive the robot. You write the robot a tiny program and then watch it run, bugs and all. This is the most honest depiction of my own workday on the entire shelf. The robot, at least, gets to deliver mail.

THE STORY BEHIND THIS CARTRIDGE

PostBot is Tobias Rojahn's open-source Game Boy puzzler, and it is not a game about steering a robot — it is a game about programming one. Each level hands you an obstacle-strewn delivery grid and a row of command tiles — move, turn, pick up, drop — which you arrange into a sequence, complete with a pair of reusable subroutine slots, before setting your postal robot loose to execute the whole thing at once. Watching it succeed, or fail informatively, is the entire pleasure. It is released under the MIT licence with full source, and reaches the cabinet through the gbdev Homebrew Hub.

HOW TO PLAY — CONTROLS

ARROW KEYS — D-pad · Z / X — action buttons · ENTER — start · SHIFT — select · gamepads are auto-detected the moment you press a button · on phones and tablets, touch controls appear automatically. Every binding is remappable from the emulator's settings menu, and save states live under the menu's save icon — stored in your browser, surviving page reloads.

NO-NONSENSE ANSWERS

Is it legal to play PostBot online?
Completely. PostBot is original homebrew for the Game Boy — its author distributes it free under a license that permits redistribution (MIT), and the full credit is recorded in our attribution file. Nothing here is a commercial ROM.
Can I play PostBot on my phone?
Yes. Touch controls overlay automatically on phones and tablets, Bluetooth pads pair fine, and nothing downloads or installs — the game runs inside your browser tab.
What about saving?
Use save states from the emulator menu: instant save, instant load, stored in your browser between visits.
